Momo City Story Mode Guide
Episodes, choices, routes, and how story progress permanently changes your Alpha gameplay.
Story Mode is Momo City’s single-player RPG layer on top of the life sim core. According to the Miraheze wiki Story page, the story progresses and changes your own personal gameplay — choices affect the storyline, and major story developments have lasting effects on how you play. You can replay episodes to get multiple routes, but the gameplay changes from major story beats persist.
This page covers what is currently known about Story Mode from community sources. The feature is still being documented in the live Alpha build.
What Story Mode is
The Miraheze wiki describes Story Mode as:
“Story mode is a one-time plot the player can participate in! The story progresses and changes your own personal gameplay. You will be able to re-play episodes, however, your gameplay will remain changed.”
This means:
- Choices matter — decisions in the story affect which route you take.
- Multiple routes — typically 2–3 routes per story segment, giving replay value.
- Permanent gameplay changes — replaying episodes does not undo story-based changes to your game world or character state.
- One-time story content — the core plot is experienced once, then revisited for different routes rather than reset.
Episode structure
The Miraheze wiki confirms there is an episode structure to the story. Public sources have not yet mapped the full episode list or which episodes are available in the current Alpha build. As the community documents more episodes, this page will be updated.
How story fits the Alpha loop
Story Mode is separate from the daily Moni loop. It does not replace chest runs, fishing, or job shifts — it adds a narrative layer on top. The correct way to approach it:
- Complete the airport tutorial and redeem codes.
- Build your Moni foundation with daily quests, fishing, and job shifts.
- Explore Story Mode when you want narrative progression rather than resource farming.
Major story developments may unlock new interactions, NPCs, or areas that affect the life sim layer. Check updates when new story content ships in patches.
Story and the Lifeopedia
The Miraheze Game Content page mentions the Lifeopedia as a game system connected to activities and progression. Story Mode entries may link to the Lifeopedia, creating a journal of your choices and discoveries across episodes. More details will be added as the community maps the connection.
Current status
Story Mode is part of the Alpha. Specific episodes, available choices, and full route maps are still being documented by the community. When patches ship new story content, it will be noted on the Alpha release page and this page will be updated with new sections.
