Momo City Travel the City
Unlock districts, toggle markers, and stop walking the long way to the mall.
Momo City is small on a trailer and large when you do not know the bus. Players get stuck in the Plaza because the first spawn looks like the whole game. It is not. Nota Village, Ribbon Mall, the Maid Cafe, Citizen Island, and leftover airport space all sit on the same fantasy-Japan map. This page is the travel layer: how to move, what each district is for, and which chest counts live where. Nota Village’s three boxes have a dedicated route: Nota Village chests. The September patch added guide markers for locations, fishing spots, and friends, all toggleable in Settings. Turn them on. The official art is pretty; your time is not infinite. The embedded video shows the original hop between Nota Village, Plaza, Ribbon Mall, and the Maid Cafe — watch it once, then use the district notes below as a checklist.
How movement works
- Walk more than you sprint near prompts. Chests, tickets, and NPCs miss taps if you skate past them. Official trailers even tell you to walk.
- Buses connect districts. Citizen Island bus logic was buggy enough to appear in patch notes; if a bus eats you, reset character (you snap to spawn) and try again.
- Markers — locations for mall/cafe/village, fishing for coast loops, friends for NPC-related pins if you enabled them.
- Reset character now teleports to spawn on purpose. Use it as a fast travel when you are clipped, not as a panic button in a shop UI.
There is no public open-world multiplayer stroll. Your server is solo. Crowds you see are NPCs, mannequins, and scripted cafe staff.
Airport (return)
The terminal is still a district after you land. If you skipped tickets, chests, or the quiz, go back instead of treating the first spawn as a one-way cutscene. Arrivals 5–6 still shows on official art. Reset-to-spawn after the September 3 patch is a legal fast travel if the pin is shy.
Plaza
The Plaza is the postcard: fountain, balloons, easels, animal-style mascots beside human avatars. It is also three clothing chests and a good photoshoot. Do a lap before you spend Moni. If you are lost after the airport, this is the orientation room. Hair and face impulse buys can wait until you have seen Ribbon Select portraits.
Nota Village
Nota Village is quieter and slightly rural-magical. Three clothing chests hide here. Fuwachi — “mystical harmless creators” — were spotted in village footage. Treat them as exploration flavour until a quest flags them. If you like Animal Crossing energy more than mall energy, linger, fish if markers show water, and talk to whoever the NPC directory places on these streets.
Ribbon Mall
The mall is the economy. Shops include:
- Pri-me (プリミ) — gyaru / Harajuku, run by Nami
- Gamazon — pieces like Heavenly Hearts
- EXEQ / Execute — darker fashion, boots, alternative wear
- Secret Castle — gamepass / specialty, Feathered Angel, Jirai Kei bundle on the phone app
- Psych Neon — Coro Sue’s neon shop
- Food court on the second floor, photobooth, gacha, daily quests
Daily quests were mall-only in early Alpha. That is your Moni heartbeat. Shopping bags used to trap items inside the mall; the September patch lets you unload them outside. Still, if a purchase vanishes, follow the unload steps in customization.
Maid Cafe
The cafe is a district and a job. Travel here for shifts, maid outfits, and the music-video energy the studio pushed for years. Gameplay loop notes live on the Maid Cafe guide. Do not confuse it with Secret Castle just because both are cute interiors.
Citizen Island
Citizen Island is the chest continent: fourteen clothing chests and a tropical day clip that hid a female-outfit code in the footage. Buses here were patched. Sweep with the chest checklist rather than wandering. A later studio post invited players to look carefully for a code during a tropical island video — fashion hunt, not a bus tutorial.
Suggested unlock order
Airport remnants → Plaza chests → Nota Village chests → Ribbon Mall markers + dailies → Maid Cafe intro shift → Citizen Island full clear → fishing markers if you still need Moni. That order matches the getting started hour and keeps VIP as an optional multiplier instead of a movement crutch.
When a new district ships, it will appear on updates. Until then, if you cannot find a door, toggle markers off and on — Alpha pins sometimes need a refresh after a teleport.

Alpha servers are solo. You can still share routes like this page and compare outfits after.
